Grandpa and Granddaughter

Pre-arranging a personalized memorial has become a common part of the estate plan for today's families and we here at Harrison Monuments are here to help.

People pre-arrange their monument for a variety of reasons, some emotional and some practical. There are several advantages, including:

  • The opportunity to make your wishes known ahead of time, and to think clearly about the numerous decisions that will need to be made so that your family does not need to struggle with such decisions, wondering what you would have wanted.
  • The opportunity to relieve your family of the burden of making difficult decisions during their time of loss.

Pre-arranging a memorial is easy with our help. When you contact Harrison Monuments for prearrangement advice, we will walk you through the process to make sure that you have exactly what you want.

  • We will ask for your cemetery's name , as the cemetery's rules often set the stage for other decisions. We can help you gather the information necessary as we know most of the cemetery rules in the tri-state area.
  • Then, you will be asked what type of memorial you would like: slant, upright, bevel, etc., and we can tell you if the cemetery you have selected will accept the type of memorial you have selected.
  • Finally, we'll help you select the style, color and any other options you would like.

Once the size and shape of your monument is picked out, we'll sit down with you and start designing the layout of the monument just as you describe it. We use a state of the art computer aided design system to create your memorial right before your eyes. We will also discuss the many customized options available including, sandblasted carvings and beautifully etched scenes or portraits. If you decide to move ahead with the plans, we will write up a contract, take a deposit, and get started with the process of creating your own personal monument to be admired for your loved ones and future generations.
